Hey guys,
I’m interested in buying a fast on-road electric rc car.
I was just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on motor, speed controllers and battery combo’s?
I’m trying to something that’s not too budget-busting but at the same time has some speed to it.
Also just a random question, is a higher or lower T (turn) motor better/faster etc?
Thanks guys
The higher the turn, the faster the motor spins. But of course there’s other things like the size of the motor pinion gear and the main spur gear to consider and also the size of the wheels and tyres. So it doesn’t always necessarily mean that that the higher the turn, the faster the model, although it does usually work out like that.
As you increase the turns, you also have to make sure the ESC can handle it.
Something like a 12 turn motor, a suitable ESC and a 4500 mAh battery would make for a very fast touring car. Then after a while you could change it to brushless motor, brushless ESC and Li-Po batteries, then it’ll be very fast and virtually maintenance free.
how fast do electric rc cars go?
At toysrus the fastest one there gos 49 mph Its a convertable
Gas powerd ones go over 100mph but i dont know where you find those
how do they make electric rc cars, like im not sure how to say it but like make them go at different speeds (the same rc car)
My husband used to race electric (battery powered) r/c cars. There are different motors, and gearing that allow you to increase the speed. There is a throttle on the remote control that allows you to change speed while driving. It takes a lot of skill and knowledge to not over gear your motor or you can use up all the battery power before the race is over. Battery capacity and voltage plays a roll in it as well. Many races have limits on the types of batteries, motors, wheels and weight of the vehicles to make it a fair race. There are several magazines and websites dedicated to the hobby/sport.
My dad has recently given me a old Futaba FX-10 electric RC car and i need new parts for it. No parts in specific but just a sight that has numerous parts that i could buy. I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!
This R/C is a dinosaur so it will be hard to find parts for it.
http://www.towerhobbies.com or your local hobby shop would be a good place to start.
Also http://www.tamiyaclub.com/ Go to the forum and do a search for Futaba FX-10. There is tons of good info there that could help you
Here is the manual for it, if that helps you

Okay so i am i big fan of models of real cars, i want a electric RC car (no i don’t want a gas or nitro RC car) that is good and is under 40 dollars. Also i live in Canada so try to give me a site where it can ship to canada.
Thanks
You’re not going to get ANYTHING worth carrying home for under $40.00. Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude or sarcastic with this answer. But there is nothing other than maybe Radio Shack or Walmart.
Hello, I’m a beginner in this field!
I want to get into RC cars by starting with this:

Any tips on what you must do and have ? Any suggestions on good equipment( batteries, battery chargers ecc.) are welcomed.
Oh, and what do you think of this RC car?
Thanks in advance
Kevin
Tamiya make some of the best RC vehicles out there. The dark impact is a good buggy. To get it running, you’ll need:
1.A radio system with/and and ESC(electronic speed control)

2. At least one battery pack. You may want more later.

3. A good battery charger.

4. You will need Polycarbonate or lexan paint to paint the body(on the inside).

You’ll want to buy it in spray can form, unless you are experienced with an air brush or spray gun.
5.Lastly, you’ll need simple tools to build it, such as a #0 and #1 phillips screw driver, hobby knife and scissors.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
I am looking into an RC racing car(1/10th scale) and I have a budget of $400. I have decent experience having other RC cars and such, and my neighbor with a track has told me I drive his cars very well. I am looking for a buggie, truggie, or truck. it doesn’t matter if it is brush or brushless, I prefer brushless, and I need a good battery and a good charger. NO LiPo. Please help me out as I am new to these cars.
i would strongly recommend Traxxas. they have the best cars, trucks, buggies. i have several of their products and have never had a problem with them. i would recommend their VXL Brushless series. they cost around $250-300 depending on where you buy from. a good 6-cell pack will cost you somewhere around $50-60, and Traxxas has a charger for $50. if you want something cheaper the Traxxas Slash is a really fun truck and costs about $200 and is upgradeable to brushless.
if you dont know where to buy from here are some sites:
hobbypeople.net, ultimatehobbies.com, horizonhobby.com
If you are looking for them to do the repairs, in most instances your local hobby shop will be capable (and no charges for shipping).
For information on you doing the repair. Better rc manufacturers include detaile layouts of the car and some give most common troubleshooting and common repair guides. Check the manufacturers web site for details
If you dont have a hobby shop or capability of fixing it yourself, the best recommendation is to send it directly to the manufacturer for repair. Not knowing your car manufacturer I cant give you a web address
I am looking for a fast, durable HPI/Tamiya electric rc car, for under 200. On-road preferred.
if you want an rc drift car under 200$, you can either get an hpi e10 drift or associated tc4, but if you want an electric durable car that will last long, the tamiya tt01 is for you
I would like some remote control cars that are under 70 pounds and are electric off road, electric on road and electric drift
First of all are you looking for a toy type car or a kit?,because £70 isn’t alot your not going to get all of that for £70, are you looking for something to mess around with in your garden,or race at a club?tamiya, yokomo, losi, schumacher, team associated, academy, hpi racing,etc.. all make on and off road cars/buggies/and trucks these aren’t cheap….yokomo, hpi, and tamiya make drift models but they aren’t cheap either, you may get some on and off road kits by tamiya, for around £70 dependeding on where you shop, the radio hand set and batteries will be extra. try one of theses web sites, ask at your local hobby shop.or try your luck on ebay.
